The Process
No salesmanship, no upselling. One system, one price for everyone.
No handoffs. One point of contact from end to end.
Straightforward.
Request a proposal
Let us know you’re interested in a detailed proposal by submitting this form. Within two business days you’ll have a proposal in hand.
Review proposal and sign
When we send over a proposal, we’ll also send a link to sign our standard, fixed price contract. Signing the contract does not lock in the exact location of the solar panels, that piece we work with you to finalize later.
Make downpayment
Upon signing the contract you will receive a link to make a $1,000 downpayment towards your system. This is the only payment you’ll make until the very end of the process.
Next we schedule a 1-hour site survey as well as an installation date. During the site survey, a senior electrician will visit your property, assess your roof, and identify a suitable location for the battery system, smart panel, EV charging port and other hardware components. We require your presence onsite for the survey.
Site survey and scheduling
After sight survey, we finalize the design and installation plan, and give you an opportunity to flag any concerns. In parallel we begin the permit application and approval process, which takes two weeks.
Final design and permitting
Installation and inspection
The installation takes one full week, Monday to Friday. These are large systems with many components and we don’t rush and cut corners. You do not need to be present during installation, however we do require access to parts of your property throughout.
We will request your approval to cut power to the home for one hour during the installation period. Installation concludes with an inspection by the local authorities.
PG&E approval and final payment
We submit a detailed application to PG&E and await their approval to turn your system on. PG&E switches you from your current rate plan to their solar billing plan. We request final payment at this time. Once received, we issue you a receipt which you’ll use at tax time to claim your 30% federal tax credit.
